Today I conquered Mount Sofa. It started as a jump gone wrong—but ended in victory. Louie watched in awe as I balanced like a mountain goat. Then I got stuck. Dad laughed before helping me down, muttering something about “ramps.” I didn’t care. I was a hero for 30 glorious seconds.
Lesson: Dachshunds love climbing but shouldn’t jump from high places—it’s risky for their long spines. Use ramps, cushions, or steps to let them explore safely. They still get their adventure without the chiropractor bills. Safety doesn’t mean less fun—it means more years of zoomies ahead.
