Dad didn’t seem impressed, but I know deep down he admired my archaeology skills.
Lesson: Dachshunds dig for joy, not mischief. It’s instinct—bred deep from their hunting roots. Instead of scolding, channel it. Give them a “dig zone” filled with toys or sand. Reward digging in the right spot. You’ll save your garden (and your sanity) while letting your little archaeologist live his best life.
